no sound on 64 bit version?

I dont think my game has ever had sound. The 32 bit version has sound but the 64 doesnt, is there any way fix to this? Ive googled and done everything that was suggested but it still isnt working. Its fully updated and I've installed the famous expansion today. I dont really mind playing it without sound but it would be interesting to know what it sounds like 

That's strange. Try uninstalling VC redist 2010 and 2013, x64 version, and installing it again. Installers are in "The Sims 4\__Installer\vc\*\redist\vcredist_x64.exe". No idea if this helps but it's worth a try.

Okay so I tried that but it still had no sound

Could it be that you muted it in volume mixer? Don't have any other ideas.
