Broken Mods for the Newest Patch 1.51.75

As we all know, if not now you know , a new Sims 4 patch is out, patch number 1.51.75. As always back up your saves, tray and mods files before any attempt to patch. As per EA gurus, the patch should patch quite a few of EA's bloopers, so as always expect mods to stop working. Sims VIP has a list in which they post the mods that are known to be broken and those that are still working, as well as those that have been updated. this is the link to that page: https://simsvip.com/2019/04/16/broken-mods-for-april-19-patch-1-51-75/  For what they supposedly fixed: https://simsvip.com/2019/04/16/the-sims-4-new-game-patch-april-16th-2019/. For those of us that play exclusively with G4TW Sims 4 Fixes, only patch when the Fix is released here and always backup your saves, tray and mods in another area of your PC before patching. The broken mod list should prove useful, for which mods not to add to your new patch game until they have been fixed. Any mod that is not on the list should be tested. Remember Sims Law : Any mod can break your game.

Update! All build and buy CC have lost their description and name with the new patch, it is still usable but a *Debug* is what you will see. CC creators do not know how to fix this yet and are waiting on Sims4Studio to see if they come up with one of those nifty batch fixes for this one.

Update on the Missing names and descriptions on CC, which now appear as "debug" on your SIms 4 game: Many other mods have had their text broken by the patch. If you are a mod creator affected by this, try changing the string table's group to '00000000'.  I know it is a pain in the neck to fix all the broken CC this way, so let us hope that Sims4Studio will have a Batch Fix; until then, I tested this and it works!

Off-topic, but on the splashscreen at game startup where it says in big letters "The Sims 4", why does it (still) say " Electronic Arts, 2017"? Is my game glitched out, or is it for anybody else "2017" too on the splashscreen?

Edit: or, is that year intended by EA?

Hi all,

Those of you who play with mods or custom content may have noticed that some custom text (names, descriptions, etc) that is part of a mod/CC have either gone blank, or switched to displaying "**DEBUG**" (on game version PC 1.51.75.1020 / Mac 1.51.75.1220). This was an unintentional side effect of the 4/16 update. The Sims 4 team is planning on releasing another update in the near future specifically to address this issue, which will restore the text as it was displayed previously.

Technical info:
The issue we've identified is that any user-generated content authored using strings in string tables with non-zero group ids will show up in-game as blank. Changing string tables to use 0x00000000 for group id can be used as a temporary workaround for creators who do not want to wait until the next update. The next update will not cause conflicts with this workaround. Long term, we do recommend that mod/cc creators have the top bit set to avoid conflicts with Maxis created content.

It's been like this since I remember. They just didn't change it for two years.

Update: It looks like Sims4Studio will not issue a patch to fix the missing text on CC and will wait instead until EA issues a patch to fix it. Teleporter and Pose Player are also broken at this time.

The New patch is out and it seems to have delivered on its promise to fix the CC text and text search is working again. Update the new patch number is 1.55.77.1020 I have verified with a few friends and it did fix the text bugs; however, people are complaining about having bald sims in CAS .
