Sims 4 household glitch after new update Empty Sims 4 household glitch after new update

Post by Guest Wed 18 Sep 2019, 14:51

I have been having this household problem since I downloaded the new update, it won't show households on the lot when you hover over the lot and when you click to play them on the lot, they will not appear at the house. I can still edit them in CAS and go into build mode but I cannot play the sim in live mode. I figured it was definitely a broken mod but it doesn't seem to be because I moved my Sims 4 folder out and started a new game with no mods and it was doing the same thing. I updated a lot of mods that seemed to be broken because of the update.

I was also getting an orange.emu64dll error and that file kept disappearing from my game/bin folder even though I have it as an exception on my anti-virus and I had to keep downloading that file.

I have tried everything known to man to get this game to work has anybody else had this issue and could help?  Sad

Run the validator and post the result here. Uncheck quick scan!

I specifically told you to uncheck "quick scan"... So run validator again. And delete all "unknown files" listed in validator report.

Looks clean to me. Very Happy What about any mods that you use?

There is also a new patch out (1.55.108.1020), which may also be worth trying.

I have updated all the in game mods I use, even started the game without any mods and it still did that. Is that the patch after Realm of Magic?

Yup, 1.55.108.1020 is a patch after Realm of Magic.

But I highly doubt it will help in your case. You're not telling us something. Validator result is completely clean so starting the game fresh (by moving/deleting "The Sims 4" folder from "Documents\Electronic Arts" somewhere else), so no saves, no mods, no CC, should solve all the in-game problems. Except for game bugs but that's the first time I hear about that problem so it's unlikely a bug.

don’t know why I wouldn’t be telling you something. there is nothing to hide. but I will run the validate again and re-update the game again and move the sims 4 folder once more and see what happens.

Delete "Game_" folder. As you can see your game installation folder is perfectly clean - no missing and no corrupted files. So starting the game fresh should fix any problem. BTW what language are you playing the game in? Because 4 or 5 languages use different name for the folder in "Documents\Electronic Arts".

So I moved my sims 4 folder again and started a new game and it did work this time. Last time I did it, it didn't work. Thank you guys for the input.
