initialization error at start up

Hi everyone, I have lurked for a while and always been able to figure out any issues I have had with the game but this one has me stumped.
I installed everything, so I believe, correctly, up to the update after realm of magic. (1.56.52.1020)
Everything was running normally when I played last which was 2 days ago. I shut off my laptop and started it this morning with the following error when I try to open the game:
Unable to start:
Initialization error at start up
[135dec40:598068e4:00000078:37b26003]
I have tried moving The Sims 4 folder to the desktop, I have The Sims 4 also moved to ProgramFiles(x86) as per instructions on the install guide. I have tried renaming the Game folder, I have tried installing a new Game folder, redownloading the latest update and installing. I am just not too sure what is happening? I still consider myself to be a novice, so apologies if I have monumentally hecked it up.
I even tried following the instructions on this post.

The portion of the validator report that says "Missing files", indicates that something went wrong when you tried installing the new Game folder.
Are you confident you placed it in the correct location? And if it is in the correct location, have you tried re-creating the desktop shortcuts too? Because if you use old desktop shortcuts, there is a chance it may point to an obsolete filepath. So you should re-create the desktop shortcut.
If your last patch was 1.56.51.1020, just re-extract the "Game"-subfolder from the .7z download archive (= no need to re-download!).

I actually never made desktop shortcuts I would just go into the Game folder and start from the folder.
I will try a new game folder, like you said.
