Grandma's Canning Station not working

I'm having trouble with canning station that came with Brunch at the Old Mill set (I think it came with that set atleast). Every time my sim goes up to it to make jam or preserves, the interact immediately closes out and she just stands there. I've tried this several times and get the same result. I currently have 3 grapes in it, so that's not the problem. I tried to got the MATY where I got the set and find a fix or something for it, but Kissing_Toast hasn't updated anything after the toy titanic thing came out. I don't think they really know what to do about it. One person suggesting putting an update CCmerge? file in the Overrides folder. But I have problem with. I don't know if they meant to take the one out of my DCbackup folder (which I did) or download one. They said that it worked for them, but I'm still getting the same interaction. I'm just literally at a loss now. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Please remove all these other store fix files you downloaded so far. Smile

Then you should delete the scriptCache.package file, located in My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3.

Now...get the latest G4TW store fixes from here:

And refer to the included instructions. Yes, you need to use the ccmerged.packaged in it too, and place it into the DCBackup folder, REPLACING the old one. As for the other files, refer to the instructions. If you really apply all files correctly, the canning station should work (it does work for me, at least).

I got the canning station to work, but now I have another dilemma. When I try to make my sim spread the jam on toast or scones, the action happens, but then it reset my sim when they're done. Is there something else I need to make that do right? I have the Indulgent Bakery set thing, and I've looked with it, there's no option to make pre-made scones or toast.

Again, are you sure you really applied the store fixes correctly ? And you really need to replace ALL existing items. For example, did you also replace the ccmerged.package from DCBackup, with the NEW file ?

If you really did everything right, the only real explanation left is that you need to re-download the canning station from a different source. Where did you get the file from ? Is it from my temporary upload, here ?

Hi! I'm not sure I m in the right section... If not, please feel free to move or delete my post Wink

I just want to report something related to the canning station. I have the store fix and everything in my game works perfectly fine! (thanks to the people in this forum, where I m used to search for help, sometimes just reading post and answers.)
Some mods, however, like the Canning station OverHaul (wich seems to be a fantastic mod: http://modthesims.info/download.php?t=580462) can't work in my game. I wonder: could this be related to the store fix?
Anyway, you people, saved my game a lot of time, so I thank you for your good work and spirit! u_u
