Alternate Master Suite "crack"

I know a lot of us Simmers love using mods and that sometimes the "cracks" for our games are not mod friendly. I have found a mod that works very well with the Master Suite SP without having to install the cracked .exe and .dll files. Its called NRAAS No CD mod http://nraas.wikispaces.com/NoCD

I have been running this mod for several sim weeks on a fully patched game with all EPs and SPs installed and have encountered no problems. Just make sure that any CC you have is updated/fixed for the 1.29 patch.

Note to Mods: Not sure if this is the right place to post this alternate fix but wnated to try and give back to the one site that has made simming possible for me. Please move to correct area if posted in wrong one.

Hello,
We're aware of this, its the temporary fix we've used for a little while after patch 1.29 came out. I never experienced problems with it myself, but most users were experiencing problems with the noCD.
But it may still work for some people, thanks.
I've never experienced any problems due to mods and the crack not being compatible though, as long as all the mods are up to date, the crack should be fine.

Not meaning to hijack your thread, another thing that can be classified as a crack "alternative" would be Awesomemod. It's a good addition if you're pedantic about game settings, but in its default flavour all you do is add awesome.package and aweconfig.package to your Packages folder. It's essentially a fortified no-disc hack, but my use of it has meant I can skip all the "crack" instructions and play the game with its original program files.

Recommended for: removing risk / error margins with replacing files. Fixing certain rubbish parts of the game engine.
Not good if: you're not interested in updating it when necessary. You're likely to want your saves to work without Awesomemod.

I understand that Awesomemod is pretty heavy duty, not for low end pc's, can you confirm that?

How do i remove my crack files and replace them with originals files for mac?
Im having issues in game and i think its due to the cracks, but i need them to play without a cd, untill i found this.

Hello,
That MAC fix you downloaded has all the original files in their corresponding folders. It has only 1 crack which is located in the #crack folder.
Did you apply the files from the #crack folder at all?

Yes i followed all the steps and applied the crack file at the very end.

Is there anyway to remove those files and get the original back so i can attempt this nocd mod?

Hello,
Yes, since only the one's from the #crack folder are the crack, you could apply all of the other ones. They are original files, not cracks.
Keep in mind though that this noCD mod only worked for a small number of users, most people were experiencing a whole range of problems after attempting to use this mod instead of the crack.
