Confused Late night?

I installing ambitions already, i didn't do any cracks yet because I want to install late night, generations and showtime. On the must read- how to install Sims 3 correctly, it says 3. Install any other expansions you like. Do not apply any cracks (at all) and when installing Late Night, ignore the Installation Guide, which says you need to reinstall everything. This means that you do not need any "# Crack" folder for installing the expansions. So should I install all the expansions I want (Ambitions, Late night, Generations and Showtime) then do the cracks?
