showtime issue

showtime issue

I have had all the expansions before this one and have had them work fine. I downloaded showtime and followed the guide like always. when i start the game it gets to the loading screen and then it says the game has stopped loading and crashes. could it be cause i updated my game during installation?

Yes, usually they are.
Please remove ALL Custom Content and Mods you have.
If it worked after that, we'll tell you what to do.

the removal of my mods folder did indeed fix the issue. wish i knew which mods were making it not work as i have a lot of mods

Hello,
You can. Just put the Mods back in groups of 10 or something like that, and then start the game to see if it crashes.
If it does, you know it's one of those 10. If it doesn't, keep adding in pairs of 10.
Eventually you'll find out which are the corrupt ones.
I think Lady ElDi has some tools for this job, but I keep confusing all tools, so she can provide more information.

Hello,
Can you give an indication of the type of mods you're using? Custom content like objects, clothing, hairstyles etc. usually don't cause any problems, but if you're using mods like the ones from Nraas, or awesomemod, they need to be compatible with the latest patch level.
You can also use Delphy's Dashboard on your mods\packages folder to see if there are any conflicts.
