The sims 3 random crashes

My sims game has had a lot of trouble before and I'm starting to think it might be my computer or something like it. First it takes a really long time to load. I've assumed that's because of all the custom content i have so I installed magicCC which of course only made it even slower. During the loading it stops and starts working multiple times and when the game starts it either crashes right away or after a while. The fix is applied more than once since I've quite recently updated Showtime, I've tried removing all CC many times too but the game crashed even then. The exe-files are all in the DEP, I'm playing in the lowest quality in a small window which i really don't like since I've played it on at least medium quality in a big window before without problem. I really don't know how to fix it. Yesterday i was playing and though it loaded slow it worked. Today i turned it on without doing anything diffrently and it crashed at once! Please help!

Hello,
Are you on a low-end pc? I've recently had to downsize my game because it was terribly slow and crashing all the time.
If you have packages, you could try to combine them into larger packages. Look here.
You could also do this with sims3packs, after using Delphy's multi extracter on them.

Yes, kind of. But with this method you can filter out "junk files" using Merlin.
In my experience, ccmagic is good for sims3packs, but I prefer this method for package files.

Is there a video or something on how to use it because the tutorial isn't really helping all that much

Hello,
It's not that complicated, though it may seem so.
Open s3pe. In the File menu, select new. Right-click anywhere in the empty white space and select Import -> from package.
The tutorial suggests (EXPERIMENTAL) As dbc, but I found it easier to import them as packages.
Navigate to where your package files are and select the ones you want to combine. It's not recommended to combine mods, since mods are usually updated with every new patch. So select your cc's in package format and click open.
When the program asks if you want to autosave after every import, click no. Choosing yes can crash the program.
Wait until everything is imported, the go to File -> Save as... and pick a name and location to save to.
This can take a while and the program may appear unresponsive. When it's finished saving, put the combined package in your mods\packages folder in stead of your separate packages.

Thank you, I'll be trying it now and see if it makes any diffrence, I have a lot of sims3packs too, can I use both programs?
