The Sims 3 Base Game Download. [SOLVED]

Hello,

First of all.. Great site you have here...

This is less of a problem and more of a question..

I downloaded the sims 3 base game torrent from your site.. it's still downloading ATM.. and i have seen the instructions video on how to install it...

Now, I just want to play the base game.. so my question is, what is the version of the base game download?

It'd be great if it went immediately to v1.33.2 without having to download a separate patch for it...

and if it isn't, what should I do to update it to the latest version?

Welcome to the Games4theworld Forum!
The problem is that if you only want the base game, you should install the game using the included instructions and DO NOT update. If you do update, the game won't work any more. So it's important to follow the included instructions and just leave it like that.

Read every step very carefully and do not skip any.

oh yeah.. I have another question...

I'm getting confused about these expansions...

Are they separate sims games? like different sequels? or just additions to the base game?

What I mean is that if I download and install generations, town life, and master suite for example, do I play them differently? or just play the base game and all the expansions will be there?

I have installed the sims 3 base game and the town life expansion...

When
the town life expansion was done installing, it installed the EA
download manager... is this normal? or do I have to uninstall and
reinstall it again?

Then, I copied the town life files from the fix to the sims3/game/bin and opened the launcher...

Then
I clicked update and it said there was an update available, so I
clicked yes... then the launcher froze and the window appeared that said
"not responding, wait for program to respond, close the program" and I
clicked close the program...

Now, I tried opening the launcher
again but when it opens, this message immediately pops up saying "cannot
open launcher while update is being installed, please wait until update
is finished"... and when I click "OK" the launcher closes...

Is this normal? Can you please point out what I did wrong during the installation?

UPDATE:

I've tried some trial and errors and I found out that the EA download manager is necessary for the launcher to work...

so
I uninstalled and reinstalled town life... (because I uninstalled the
EA download manager on one of my experiments).. but the launcher still
freezes after I click update now...

Im currently downloading the manual 1.33.2 patch and I'll work on it later when its finished...

If it still doesnt work.. I have a last resort plan...

I
saw from the launcher that my base game version is 1.23.65 and my plan
is to download a cracked TS3.exe and .dll of this version if I still
manage to screw up the manual patch because I'm pretty much ok with that
version...

So if I download the cracked 1.23.65 files, will the town life expansion still be added to the base game when I play?
