Sims and Pets cannot find path - Gameplay issue

Ok, so I had a lengthy and articulate explanation of my problem before my browser crapped out on me, so excuse my laziness while i shorthand this again.

First of all thank you guys so much for all your hard work in making this content available. Your instructions are very easy and I had no problems downloading / installing the expansions and applying the "ultimate fix". I got no errors, no crashes, no lockups and no lag.

My issue is with pathing. No matter how close or in which location on the lot that I issue (or automate) a command, both sims and pets will get a bubble over their head with footprints crossed out in a red circle, indicating they cannot find a path to wherever they are going. even if its two feet in front of their face and there is nothing but grass from A to B. If i use the cheat command: "moveObjects on" and manually move them to a different location, they perform just one action before they start spamming no path bubbles again.

I feel like i should mention that all of my expansions and stuff packs EXCEPT Showtime, Pets, and Sweet Treats are NOT from this site. I followed the instructions explicitly, and I figured this would be acceptable because I have all three expansions that were required to use the ultimate fix. Like I said, this is the only thing that is wrong with the game. All other content is available and functioning properly.

Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling... playing the game with the expansions up to and including pets (minus showtime and sweet treats) and then with all of them and still get the same problem.

I've uninstalled all mods and custom content and still get the same problem.

My patch is v 1.34.27 (downloaded from this site) and the ultimate fix is applied.

one other thing i should mention that i just remembered: i had downloaded pets from this site where the files from the #Crack folder were still required, but now they are not, should i replace the cracked files in the expansions with the original files?

A few questions. What world are you playing in, and does this happen in all of them?
Is this on new families too, or just an old save?
Did this start happening after installing a new expansion or stuff pack, or mod/cc?

This issue started happening after I installed Pets when it first came out. The patch version at the time was 1.27 or something. People on EA forums speculated it needed to be patched, so I waited. The issue did not occur before I installed pets, and Showtime / Sweet treats seems to have no effect wether they are installed or not.

Have also tried with and without custom content and mods and the problem still occurs no matter what.

Currently playing on an old save in Appaloosa Plains, one sim with one dog, one cat, and one horse.

I created a new family at sunset valley and it seems fine after trying for a minute.. the only difference between houses is this one doesnt have a foundation


edit: i just moved them into a house with a foundation, seems to be fine. Houses i've chosen have all been premade so far. the house im having issues with is custom made.

I saw you tried a few different combinations of expansions. Did you try it without pets at all?
So is the issue just on the lot then, and not anywhere else in town?

Thank you for the replies so far. I will try this mod, but I have to fiddle with it a bit. the installation instructions you provided for the framework, the website is not working. I got a 404 message at the addresses you provided in the link above. but i think i have a framework setup that i used before that is still there.

I work tonight but will edit this post later with some of the things i've tried.
