The Sims 3 Store Updates

I don't know how to actually search anything on MediaFire, so I'll just ask you. Can you find me Everyday Clothes set and Luxury Resort Attire set, please? And one more thing, I've downloaded "Store updates up to July 2011" and It has included set "Ultra Lounge", but when I install it there's no: Cushy Cushion Chair, Cushy Cushion Loveseat, Inferno's Fireplace, Elegant Swirls Deluxe etc. All the things I wanted from the set aren't in it. And also, I think my "store things" are messed up, because I had everything from June 2009 to July 2011, and now some things are missing. What should I do? Thanks in advance.

How did you install all those Store items?

All the things were in .sims3pack form so I copied them all to "Downloads" (Documents/Electronic Arts/Downloads) folder and then installed them via Launcher.

That post is full of other ways to install your cc, since the launcher doesn't always install it all properly, or keep it installed.

Everything works fine, for now, I just don't have some things from that set. But I have other problem, my game crashes every single time when I want to use some CC sim (from exchange). I manage to get to "formal clothes", but then it crashes. Can I fix that somehow?

And I just wanna say - I don't know how would I play Sims if it wasn't for this site and everyone who manage it and I wanna thank you all.

Some things downloaded from the exchange can be corrupt and not run properly. Sometimes it's clothes, sometimes hair, but I've stopped downloading from the exchange unless I've been linked to the download from modthesims, or such.

So I should uninstall them? And when I do, am I going to lose all the things that came with that sim (hair, clothes, accessories etc.)?

You don't need to uninstall them, but it could help with some issues you're having if you did. And it's those extras that could be causing the issues. It's likely a formal outfit though, if you wanted to keep everything else, and just find the root of the problem. If you do chose to delete an outfit that a sim was using, you should also try to find that sim and delete it, because keeping it can also occasionally cause crashing.

Is it one specific sim that makes the game crash when you're changing their clothes? And has it ever happened when you were making a brand new sim?

No, all of CC sims. It never happens with brand new sim, even when I'm using clothes of those sims that cause the problem.

can you use the in-game sims 3 store to download stuff or are you limited to the store packs you've created for us?

I don't know what the hell is going on with my computer or whatever... "CC Magic has stopped working", "Materializing materials", "The Sims 3 has stopped working"... How can I fix all of this?


For problem with Create-A-Style tool ("Materializing materials" for an hour and forced to shut the game down) I tried to uninstall and delete patterns, but CC Magic crashes after 10 minutes of 'rebuilding'! I did uninstalled them with Launcher, but I still have problem and the patterns still show up in CC Magic.

Did you also delete the patterns from ccmagic before you tried rebuilding? You shouldn't have had to do anything with the launcher if you have ccmagic to install your patterns and such. The launcher is only needed to install worlds and sims, as ccmagic isn't able to read those types of files.

I disabled them and then clicked rebuild button.

Instead of disabling, try to actually delete them. Then shut the program, reopen it, and make sure they're not there. Then try to rebuild.

It crashes again when I try to rebuild, and every time there's less available memory on Local Disk C:

Well if it's happening with just the sims you've downloaded, I'd delete/uninstall those. You can keep the clothing and extras that you've gotten for now though, since that doesn't seem to be causing any problems.
