I need help with Mass Effect download

Just to help you out, ill tell you what i did to see what i did wrong

1.) downloaded the game from utorrent
2.) went to the winrar file and pressed on the setup.exe and waited for that to finish
3.) i put in the serial code and it worked for that part
4.) I was able to open the launcher, but then the game config thing stopped responding, so then i downloaded the patch (1.01a)
5.) Now that fixed the last problem but now when i try to play the game it tells me "Enter your registration code", i press done, but the thing keeps on popping up

Any help guys?

Also, i forgot to mention, i looked thoroughly, but i cant find this file C:\Program Files(x86)\Mass Effect\Binaries..

Try looking in C:\Program Files\Mass Effect\Binaries instead.

dont see it there either. When i search up Mass effect on my computer, theres only 3 things that show up. 1.) The rar file or mass effect, 2.) the shortcut to the game. 3.) the patch that i downloaded

Did i forget to download something because im sure i dont see it here

Right click on the Shortcut and then choose "Open location folder". Where does it bring you to?

it just takes me to my Games folder. it contains other games of mine in the folder
