The Sims 3: Ambitions "Invalid File". and now Unable to Start [Solved]

I believe I have a special type of problem (I must say good work so far on helping us out with this game, truly you guys are way better then the guys at EA). So Basically I am downloading sims 3, HELS, WA, and Ambitions. I had sims 3 from another source before and it was working fine, but I saw ambitions and had to have it, so I downloaded it and installed. Thing is, it suddenly gave me the invalid file error, so I uninstalled it and after looking at this forum, decided to just do a clean install.

I didn't install any more sims stuff at the moment, and I really just want ambitions so I was first wondering if I can just install the sims 3 from you guys and then ambitions (also from this place) with no problem, or do I have to install WA, HELS, as well? If so I was also wondering how I will go about doing that. Do I just follow ambitions install guide and hope for the best or do I need to patch the base or do something to the base to get it prepared for ambitions. I really would appreciate any help. Apologies if this was asked already, just a confirming kind of guy. Thanks.

Please download SIMS 3 base (Games4theworld Version) which you can download www.games4theworld.org inside the "All Our Download". And for your information, WA and HELS are optional expansion, you can straight Install Ambition without WA and HELS.

Follow this step :

1. Uninstall The Sims 3 + All Expansions.
2. Restart your PC.
3. Reinstall The Sims 3.
4. Install WA.*
5. Install HELS.*
6. Reinstall Ambitions.
7. Apply our The Sims 3: Ambitions fix.

* are optional .
Make sure you do clean Installation with Games4theworld version, because our version are 100% working, 100% safe, and 100% tested.

When exactly does it give the "Invalid File" error? When you try to Update The Sims 3: Ambitions?

When I was installing ambitions at the time it would download smoothly, and then just before finishing it would say "Invalid file error".

But now that I followed your instructions it successfully installed.... That is until I tried to ran the game and ran into this:

Keep in mind that this is AFTER I applied the ambitions fix. Sims 2 has a SKU of 2 and Ambitions has a value of 1 Like the fix said. I copied over the files and this appeared. Note that sims 3 base was WORKING GREAT before I installed ambitions, now neiter works. Any suggestions?

crap I missed him.... lol oh well he's probably busy atm.

I'll work with it tomorrow after school. have to get ready for finals. I'ma see if I can install WA and HELS and see if that fixes it. I'll post my findings as well.

I'm sure this should fix your problem:

1. Install The Sims 3 base Game.
2. Install WA.
3. Install Ambitions.

5. Install our Fast Lane Stuff release.*

Back online, will do. Out of classes now and hope to get this working. It will REALLY be worth my break out of school.

WA installed succesfully and is ready to play. Now I install Ambitions correct? Also it asks for an iso file. There hasn't been an iso included in your downloads so do I have to make one? If so what files do I include into the iso? I tried copying the folder to WA (the downloaded one) but it still asks for a disk. I am just trying to address this early on as it seems that I might need to create an iso when Ambitions is installed.

No, you don't need to create any ISO file. All file are included. To install the ambition just double click "Sims3EP02Setup.exe"
And do the crack part after the installation progress finish. Please read the installation guide slowly.

Just finished installing high end loft. And I get the following error:

Unable to start game:

Unable to start. Please reinstall the base game -sigh-.............. This is after I followed all of the instructions as well. What I did was that I installed like it said, and copied over the cracked files. Why do I always get these unknown errors

UPDATE: I just got the launcher uploaded through WA, it is asking for an update for HEL, so I'm updating to see if anything comes up. Will report progress as well.

SUCCESS! HEL runs! However it is asking for the game disk! ...??

eh,, do I continue with installing ambitions? orrr....

Also its weird, HEL runs but the Sims3Laucher suddenly stops working! What the??

Thanks man, I was able to install ambitions successfully. Applied the Ambitions FIX and made sure the SKU vales matched, now all there is left is this little problem...

Nothing wrong with that notification, since we are using the cracked game. Hehhee

Excellent! Game is working great! I made six sims on it and gave them their own house just to make sure Ambitions is really working. All is well and since the other expansions installed its even more awesome! Thanks so much guys, -single tear-

Overall Process For those who have a similar issue, Its kind of different from the normal way to install but it works lol:

1- Download Sims 3 Base Game (Its just called Sims 3) from Games4theworld.org. You can also find the download at piratebay.org

2-Follow the instructions and install afterwards run Sims Launcher and update when neccesary.

3-Download and Install World Adventures. Just follow the instructions included from games4theworld, you should get it working with no problems. If it asks for a disk, restart and re-install crack files. Also go into regedit and
change those SKU values if you haven't already.

4-Install and download High End Loft Stuff from games4theworld.org. Follow the instructions. Now If it doesn't launch, or says Unable to Start Game bla bla bla, go into the WA folder and launch the launcher from there, it should ask for an update, if it does update it, if you don't see it refresh and try again.

5-Install ambitions from this site, follow instructions and enjoy :]
