registry problems, at least i think Empty registry problems, at least i think

Post by Guest Tue 31 Jul 2012, 22:14

hi, I have the base game, fast lane stuff, generations, high-end loft stuff late night master suite stuff, outdoor living stuff, pets, showtime, town life stuff, and world adventures installed. I am also using the ultimate fix.

so when i went to check registry entries because I thought that might be the problem, I noticed that many entries seem to be missing. each expansion only has displayname and locale for entries, no sku or otherwise, which i've heard needs to be there. is there a reason for this? or can someone post all the entries so i can update them or add them properly?

I get an error when the game starts. the error is 0x0175dcbb. I saw other topics about this here and most were registry related, so i went to regedit and saw what was there, but I seem to have way less entries than others for each expansion. for example, the SKU field doesn't exist for me there, there is no registry entry for it.

Hello,

Did you recently reinstall your game, before these problems started to occur? Or have you made any changes at all to your game prior to these problems occurring? It doesn't matter how insignificant it may seem.

I had the "The sims 3 ultimate collection" but obviously that wouldn't work with any new expansions. I uninstalled that and installed games4theworld version of everything, didn't work.

I read some things, uninstalled everything again, made sure the registry had no sims entries left, rebooted the laptop, and then reinstalled again, yet i still get that error.

I've read on some posts here talks about registry entries that don't exist for me, like the SKU entry.
