Mods. [SOLVED] Empty Mods. [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Mon 30 Jul 2012, 22:36

Hi!
I've had the sims for a while and I recently tried downloading some mods to speed up skills. I went to modthesims.com and downloaded all of the framework stuff, followed the directions, and my game is not modded. I started initially with just the nointro and no sparkles packages. These did not work, nor did other simple mods I tried. I tried troubleshooting and searching the forum and I've done the following to no avail:

cleared the cache
cleared the thumbnails
redownloaded the framework multiple times
restarted the game about 9 times
redownloaded and applied the ultimate fix
previously updated my game to the newest version

I can see the mod folder in the sims3 base game folder, when I open that, I see the package and override folder, and also the resource thing. When I open the package file, both mods are in there, but still they don't work (they have the blank paper as icons). The game works fine with the mods in the folder - also there is no pop-up at the start of the game concerning mods.

If you need more details, I have my sims games in my program filesx86 folder instead of documents... not sure why. Also, I am running windows 7 64 bit, and I, erm, have all of the expansion and stuff packs.

Any ideas on my issue?
Any advice would be awesome, you guys rock!

Hello,

You copied the Mods folder to the wrong folder. Please remove it from where you copied it to and then read our instructions on how to apply Mods, here: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?39bvs19e15hixot

Good luck and please let us know the result!

Hello,

Yes, I know, that's incorrect. You have to copy the Mods folder to: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\ instead.
