No lifetime wishes, no active household. [SOLVED] Empty No lifetime wishes, no active household. [SOLVED]

Payed for the base game, but downloaded these expansions from you guys; ambitions, fast lane, high end loft, late night, master suite, outdoor living, and town life. Those are the only expansions i have. I have downloaded and followed all the steps from the ultimate game fix, i have done the steps correctly. I do not have any mods or CC installed. Not even any saved games.

My issue is that when i start the game, and pick a household i would like to play with, the game will slightly load ,what ever is necessary for this action, and will stop me at a point where all i can do is watch over the town move up down left right and rotate my screen. All i can do at that point is force the game to close. The other issue i have is that in CAS, when i click on a lifetime wish it displays a blank box (meaning that the lifetime wishes are not loading for some reason) therefore i cannot finish a character in CAS.

I will try out this gamebooster thing tomorrow, i have had absolutley no issues ,in the past, running this game with 60 fps on max settings with this pc, but i will try this gamebooster thing and see how it works out. Sometimes random things like that can fix other problems without making any sense.

Without the mods/cc, actually, the "easy fix" I was mentioned isn't going to be of any help. What's been happening is a memory modification mod hadn't been updated, and it was doing this exact thing.

But yes. Please do try that, and let us know the results.

P.S. Thanks for making your own topic. I must have seemed pretty annoying having posted that on two of your comments. Sad

Well when i signed up for my account, there was a rule that said research your topic first before posting a new thread. I figured you would have liked people to post on the same threads rather than posting a new one because that is what almost every forum likes to see, and that is what your rules said.

Anyway, Gamebooster isn't doing anything. Is it possible that my game has activated some kind of anti-piracy feature? It would make sense because with the new update this is happens, and the game wont let me advance any further. Also, what is this memory modification that you speak of? Is it a mod you have to add into your mod folder? Is it a modification you guys will soon create a patch for? Or is it something EA has to make?

Hmmm... Maybe Admin will have to add an addendum to those rules, if possible. :p

The memory mod is a mod created by another user, on modthesims, and it stops the game from making memories, because they can slow down your files, and make them ridiculously large. The person who created it is the one that has to update it. When it's outdated, it definitely has the no lifetime wishes effect.

Hello,

I'm sorry for the confusion, but that rule actually means to search the Forum to see if you can find a solution first.
If you couldn't find a solution, please open your own topic.

And this is what the first rule actually says (Same when you signed up):

Ok, i have a feeling that that mod will not work because the issue is also with choosing a household. i am going to post a video on youtube for this thread so you guys can see what we are talking about.

I wasn't suggesting you use the mod lol When it's in somebody's game, and outdated, I would recommend they remove it or update it. Putting it in your game would make no difference to this error, I would think..

No lifetime wishes, no active household. [SOLVED] Empty Re: No lifetime wishes, no active household. [SOLVED]

The weirdest thing.... when i opened up the game to record the glitches, the game was running flawless without glitches. I was able to get into a house, and create a sim with all lifetime wishes.

The only thing i did was click that store update that kept popping up on my screen when i open up the launcher (because it was annoying me) So it is very possible that this was causing the glitching because when it updates the store i guess it goes through the games memory and other related things, updating them and therefore it fixes the glitches i guess. So if you don't run the game with the launcher, open the launcher and get that store update.

I noticed when i was not installing the "ultimate fix" correctly i was getting a script error when i open the launcher and it would not allow me to update the store. So if you get that script error, just re install everything and go through the ultimate fix guide again. This time do not open up your launcher to update the game, every time you install an expansion it will give you that pop up saying your games needs to be updated, just keep clicking yes on them when they pop up and when you get to step 11 on the ultimate fix guide, that is when you go into your launcher and click the update button. Once you have installed this correctly, run your game and if you run into the lifetime wishes and edit town glitch, then exit out of the game and update the store through the launcher.

Hopefully this helps anybody having issues with this =).

Congrats on figuring it out and fixing it. Smile I'll have to keep that update in mind. But that's really strange that a store update would have that much impact on the gameplay.
