world adventures help. [SOLVED]

ive followed everything the the installation guide has told me to do but when get to this stage "Now open the 'Crack 3' folder and start the 'Sims3_1.2.7.00002_from_1.0.631.00002.exe'patch." it gives me a error message, invalid file found.

ive tried to see if i could find anyone with this problem before posting a new thread but was unable too.

sorry i just realised i was doing it wrong and that i dont have to use any cracks..

off to uninstall and start again.

but i have 2 questions
1) do i install the base game like it says on the guide?
2) do i just follow all the other steps in the installation guides for the expansions but leave out any crack steps?

okay so i have uninstalled and started from scratch..

i have now ran into a problem. i installed the base game and i am now installing world adventures and it says
"the sims3 needs to be updated before this product can be installed,do you wish to to update"

i click yes and then it says
"error with the sims 3 update, setup is unable to continue"

can anyone help?

FYI, It's recommended to edit post then keep adding new post if it's in a shortish amount of time, probably like under 3-6 hours, unless a reply occurs.
