help/guidance to install expansions. [SOLVED]

first i hope it's OK I'm putting this request here.

couldn't find you on the forum and i know you are busy.

As you remember I need to install my game
old expansion, those I didn’t have when you helped me to install the new ones.

The thing is that we can’t/prefer not
to start playing the game and bring back the backuped saves since the game doesn’t
have now the relevant expansions.

Do you think it’s gona be ok if I’ll
try to do it by myself with your instructions?

I downloaded recently all of those expansions
from your site.( Ambitions, Generations, Late Night, Pets, Showtime).

All I have to know is do I have to put
the cracks of each expansion according to the fix directions, and when.

And the same question for the manual
patch, do I have to? and when?

But if you think I should wait for you

You can try! If it gets messed up again, you know where to find us.
Anyhow, here are the instructions:

1. Install all the expansions you want.
2. Apply the 1.38 manual patch. (If you don't have it downloaded any more, just skip this step, it's not mandatory)

when I'll finish (hopefully well) and want to put back the saves , for geting back overhung we buit in the game do you recommend copy and emerge to my doc. all of the "electronic arts" folder i backed up with the one already there, or just the saves one?

Hmmm... I recommend starting with only the "Saves" folder. (Don't remove the actual backup yet!)
If it acts weird, just copy the whole folder, that should do.

did everything as guided.
the good news are that the game works

but. during installing "ambitions" i got this error massage, so i stopped installing.[/img]( seems that i don't know how to attach an image).
"CRC ERROR...... the medium from which you are running the set up maybe corrupted..."
i tried to install it twice, but still got it.
all went smooth with the rest of the installed.
can be that the file i downloaded ( from your site) is somehow damaged?
maybe i should try to download it again, or re-extract ? (i still got the rar. ).
or maybe just try to choose "ignore" when the massage pops up ( i hope it'll not damage everything i installed).?

Do a re-check on the .rar in your torrent client, and if that comes back clean, do a re-extract and re-try.

ok.
downloaded again and extracted ambition expan.
this time installing went smooth. can't explain (the who...) why is it so, but that's it.
now all our icons at the bottom of the launcher are shining and we are at the top of the world
couldn't do it without you, ones again, a great thank you !!!


one last question. some of the things we saw at the sunlit tides gold ver. we don't see in our deluxe edition, i read somewhere here that there is some kind of 'store fix' that we should use.
can someone direct me where and how?

To perform a re-check in utorrent, have the files you want to there, and right-click and close to the bottom has a option to Re-check, but need to not have removed it.

The Sunlit tides gold/deluxe version should be the same.

about the store, there is something basic i don't understand.
when we go to the store and try to buy some of the items, it says we should do it only with simpoints.
do we have to create an account for this (they asking for a serial code) , or there is another way to do it?

The G4TW MediaFire has like all the Store content, so there isn't really a need to buy it.

You don't need any code/account, just need to know what your looking for.

i visited in that site, found there fixes and updates.
i'm still don't understand how to get any of the items that exist in sims 3 store.
when i choose one of the options there it give's me a link to download something.

I could probably manage to do something like that, have a link to the Sims 3 website of the item, but would have to wait a while, since I would have to look up all of them and figure out the links.

But would need to mainly just guess at what it is atm, since not sure what else there is able to do.

as you remember my original question was how can we get for our sims 3 game items that are in the store.
i looked carefully again in those sites you direct me to, as i said , i found 'store fixes' and 'updates' to download.
i downloaded and read the " how to install package' and 'installation guide' files, but still don't understand how i get from there store items.

edit: read few topics other users wrote about this issue.
it looks that there are basic things i don't know/understand.
i think that i should open a new specific topic for this subject.

Oh, The Store items are in .Sims3packs, so just need to download them and put them into Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Downloads then open The Sims 3 up, go to the Download page, select the ones (probaby all) that you want to install, and hit Install, another way is they are also executable programs, so can just double click on them, and it start installing the one you clicked on. Either method works, just the first one is a lot less clicking, just put them in, hit install, and wait a bit.

where do i get to download the 'Sims3packs'.
tried to look for it on mediafire but couldn't find it.
please conciser me as a beginner that need the most basic explanation and thank you for your Patience.

All the downloads on the mediafire account should be in .Sims3pack's unless it's the Store Fix, Neighbourhoods, Misc/Other, and SU 2009-2012 are all in the .Sims3pack's.

Almost all the items on our MediaFire account are in .Sims3Pack format.
It's a file extension for The Sims 3 items.

for example i downloaded ArcadeRegencyset.sims3pack,
so i need to put it like explained above:
"put them into Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Downloads then open
The Sims 3 up, go to the Download page, select the ones (probaby all)
that you want to install, and hit Install"
and then we will have all of the store items relevant to this extension in our game?

i'm asking because after opening the game and before start playing the is an icon named 'shop mode' and also 'open downloads dashboard' which asks for registration and serial code.
do i have to do anything with those to get the store items into the game?
