Problem with sim selection

Hello everyone,

I've just installed sims 3 following this guide https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly and I am experiencing this problem : everything works just fine on the game exept the sim selection when I try to select a different sim from my familly it gets stuck to the previous one and I can't change it. Also the tab with the sims "needs" does not open .

ps. Here's what I did : I downloaded the sims 3 base game + master suite + pets + world adventures. Then I installed with this row downloaded the update fix and then overwrited the "ultimate" fix in the base game bin file after started sims from ts3w.exe or sims3launcher.exe and the problem above occured.Does anyone know what might have happened?

nope none of the above the only "strange" thing is that during installation it would not let me install the world adventures expansion before the other 2. I don't know if that's relevant..

tryied it didn't work though...

I noticed something new the sims cannot sit at the computer at all when I command them to they sit and then magically appear next to it :/.

I think there is a problem with the base game I'll uninstall all and try to make the base game to work first...

ok so I have installed the sims 3 base game here's what I did : mounted
both disks then started the sims3 disk, chose langauge, inserted key
(from keygen),then installed during installation it says "pls enter a
disk that contains fullbuild1.package" so I point it to disk 1 and
installation continues and finishes regularly.

I'm I doing something wrong?
