Crashing on startup and neighborhood selection![SOLVED]

I re-installed all the games and the ultimate fix. (Somehow that fixed the problem I was having with my launcher). Now when I start the game, it either crashes when: 1. After the intro, during the loading screen. or 2. After I've chosen a neighborhood (no matter which neighborhood it is).

Also, in the neighborhood selection, I'm having problems with missing text. I don't know if that's related though.

I've added the .exe files to my DEP list, and I've applied the 4gb
patch. Still crashing on neighborhood loading screen and still having
text problems.

What is your base game version? You can find this by hovering over the base game icon on your launcher.

Are you using any mods/cc?

It's version. 1.39.3.018002
I do have mods and cc, but I've already removed them. Nothing changed.

Re-apply the manual patch for 1.39, and then re-apply the Ultimate fix for 1.39.

It's still crashing. and now I don't have text in the Game tips either. and the main loading screen is grey.

No. My game's already set to english.

Nothing was working so I used the You Uninstaller and re-installed. I now have text and a loading screen, and I can get past the neighborhood selection.

But I don't have an Electronic Arts file in my Documents. How did that happen? How do I fix it?

Nevermind. I found a link Lady ElDi posted about this happening in Sims 2. I started to follow the instructions and then it suddenly appeared. Weird, but good.
