Unofficial modification error after installing Showtime & its fix. [SOLVED]

I downloaded the base game, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations and Pets off of Origin. They worked well enough, but then I downloaded the FLT versions of Showtime and Supernatural (which I DID NOT install yet). I installed Showtime in the Origin Games directory, and now I receive the 'you have an unofficial modification installed' error. I then applied the fix to my Origin games, but I still receive the error. I applied the manual patch, even though my game was v.1.38 already, then the files in the #crack folder, but still it doesn't work.

Maybe it doesn't work because my other games are not pirated, I don't know.

(Also, I don't have any stuff packs.)

If your base game is original, downloaded via Origin, please note that the crack goes into this folder instead: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin

Well yes! Obviously. I don't even have a Sims directory outside Origin Games. That's exactly where I put the crack.

Well, I don't have the Origin games, just DVD's and borrow two games from here, be cause a friend of mine borrowed mine and they work just fine.
But I have no idea how the Digital game version works and do know that the patches are different from DVD's. So basically I have no idea for your problem.

However try to un-install them, clear the Registry, re-start computer and re-install the games again, apply the FIX, update game and apply the NO-CD fix and try to start the game again.

Ah... wait a minute. I wasn't aware the digital versions were all that different. I have the retail versions of the base game, World Adventures, Ambitions and Late Night. HOWEVER, since I lent them to a friend and downloaded everything off of Origin to my new computer, everything I have except Showtime is digital right now.

Should I use the cracks on the Origin games, then? I did that when the Showtime crack didn't work on its own.

I guess there would be some different about them, since some mods are made for stea, which I believe is where the games comes through.

However try to check your Registry and see if the
Install Dir and the exePath

It should tell where the games are installed.
If the adress is incorrect, correct them by doubleclicking and fill in the correct path and restart the computer.
Then try to start the game again.

If it doesn't work, then check to see, if any game icons are missing and if they do, you have a Registry problem with them.
Uninstall them either by uninstall or by Remove program.
Clear the Registry of that game or games and re-install them.

The How To

Go to the computer the game is installed upon. If the computer is
using Windows XP, 98, or any older version of Windows, click Start >
Run; in the box, type regedit and hit the enter key. For Windows Vista or 7, type regedit into the "Search programs and files" box, then click regedit.exe.
In the window that opens, click the + sign next to the words
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE". You should now see several more folders, such as
"SYSTEM" and "SOFTWARE". Keep opening folders, in this sequence:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

SOFTWARE

• Wow6432Node (This folder will only appear if you have 64-bit Windows! If not, ignore this step.)

DO NOT skip any steps!

Remember the base game crack, in your case, goes into: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin .

I had a redundant registry file. Deleted it, restarted, ran the patcher again and reapplied the crack - it works now! Thank you!
