Create A World.[SOLVED]

I just started using create a world and I have it installed on 2 computers. On my PC (win 7 64 bit) I can create a world, BUT when I go to the edit in game option I get an error and the game can't be started.
On my son's PC (same, except he has less RAM) he can make a wold and edit the world in game.
We both have the Sims 3 from here and the gametool (CAW) from here too.
Any ideas why my PC won't load or is there anything I can try to get mine to work properly?
NOTE: If I want to edit it in game, I have to save the world, install the world and then edit it that way, BUT I loose the changes (even after saving and exporting the world) when I take it back manually to CAW.

Hello,
Which expansions do you have installed at the moment? And when you open your game's launcher and hover your mouse over the base game icon in the lower-left corner, what version does it show? It starts with 1.xx.x.
Also, try re-downloading and re-applying the CAW tool from here: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t7423-download-link-for-the-create-a-world-tool (Be sure to remove your current version first and restart your PC after doing so)

I have Supernatural and the 1.39 patch. I did try to redownload and reinstall and it worked, but not quite right. In Edit Game Mode now, it won't save. A blank pop up with a red icon (almost like a stop sign) then another pop up telling me save failed.

Hello,
I think it has to do with which .exe from the base game/bin the tool uses. I believe the solution was as follows: remove TS3.exe from the bin, don't delete it, just drag it to the desktop. Now rename TS3W.exe to TS3.exe and start the CAW program.
You'll have to undo the changes when you want to actually play the game, and redo them when you want to use CAW again.

I tired it Lady E, but it didn't work for me. However, (not sure how this worked) but I kept uninstalling and reinstalling CAW until it finally did what it was suppose to.
Maybe in the previous installations the program didn't install a much needed link???
But it now works, so if you want to close topic, go right ahead.
