Debug error Empty Debug error

Post by Guest Wed 17 Oct 2012, 01:52

Hello, I'm having a problem with the The Sims 3 Town Life Stuff pack. I installed it right but when I try to open the launcher to play, it says: "Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000014 at address 0x004174fb. Do you wish to debug it?" Then exits the launcher. Already reinstalled and updated my game like 10 times but it keeps saying that!! I have no idea what to do, please help me!

Sorry about my english, I speak portuguese.

Are you using G4TW The Sims 3 base? If you are need to probably use another one, the Reloaded will work.

Did you happen to install it via Origin?

Hello,

There's no Origin for Mac? Sure?
If yes, that's odd, lol.

Hi there!

I have something you can try:

Go to Documents> Electronic Arts

Change the file name. Maybe Electronic_Arts, or something you fancy. When you start the launcher again, it will cause it to create a new Electronic Arts folder. After that, it might run smoothly.

There are many people who have tried this and worked. So no harm trying (:

Btw, I just found out about this fix so I can't guarantee that it will definitely work for you Razz

Hi there!

Try this out:

From Macintosh HD > Users folder > home folder (your mac username) > Library > Preferences

Remove the following files:
- The Sims 3 Preferences folder
- all com.transgaming files
- all ipatcher files

After this, empty your trash!

Let's hope it works. do update us on the progress!
