You can PM Admin about being a helper, which could lead to becoming a moderator. But you should keep in mind that Admin is very picky about who can be a moderator, the criteria are very serious.

That increases as you post messages. The more messages you post, the more stars you'll get.

Here is a few good tips for you!
1: Welcome new member's to the community, Let them know they are always welcome around here.
2: Report any spam topic's, Reporting them will make the job easier for the staff.
3: Get a higher post count, You will get noticed more once you get more and more post count.
4: Try and help people with any problems, not everyone is perfect. If you cant help, dont worry. You can always google the problem, and post it on the forum.
5: Dont bug staff to become staff, it get's annoying.
These are great tips for you. Hope you get the helper one day!

It's a good question. But.. I'll tell you this: When I first stumbled upon this forum I figured I'd stick around and soon after that Admin started mod elections. I think I'd been a member for a couple of days.
And I nominated myself thinking, why not. And as you can see here I wasn't even that popular and at some point I wanted to drop out because it was a lost cause. But didn't.
Well then imagine my surprise that after a while I was a moderator along with 2 guys. One of them disappeared soon after that (as I had predicted lol) and the other one well, lets not speak of him lol.
