Seasons/1.42 Crashes No Matter What.

I went out and bought Seasons, only to get home and find that it just crashes my game no matter what I try. I've been trying to solve this issue almost since it came out. I can get to the main menu where I can choose to start a new game. I do that, no matter what world I choose it will load about a quarter of the way then give me an error message saying "The Sims 3 Has Stopped Working". So I haven't even gotten to the gameplay.


-Computer is up to date, video card drivers etc.
-I have a 64 bitt computer. Nvidia graphics card.
-Computer passes system requirements with flying colors.
-Tried clearing caches
-DEP is allowed.
-Tried resetting to default setting
-Tried uninstalling and reinstalling
-I have NO mods or 'custom content' installed.
-The game itself is up to date.
-Besides Seasons I have Ambitions, Pets, Supernatural, Fast Lane Stuff, Late Night, and World Adventures.

Hello , I am dealing a problem with Sims 3 Seasons.
I applied the crack but it was asking The Sims 3 Seasons disc.
After I applied the Ultimate fix but still asks for the disc. What can I do,please?

I've found out that only *some* of the neighborhoods...mainly all of them that came with the game...

After reading your post, I tried loading every neighborhood I could and it still crashed.

In the neighborhoods I am able to load, once I try to move in a family to any home it crashes. I think maybe the few neighborhoods that are working in my game are because they are custom content downloaded from the internet. I installed them to see if they would work...but still haven't really found a solution to the whole game crashing thing yet.

I have tried all of the solutions on the link provided EXCEPT the one about allowing more RAM because I couldn't figure it out and according to a bit of googling it shouldn't be possible. I have a few more things to try before I say it might be a lost cause.

Yeah, I have the same problem. It just crashes to the desktop while loading any save. Hopefully EA comes out with a new patch soon as this is a very unstable patch. :/

did you clean your CPU and run a virus check + use TuneUp Utilities to clean up registry,defrag registry etc. it always work for me and one use mallwarebyte to check mallwares. hope it works
