No Roofs!!

Ok so I just downloaded AllGames4TheWorld The Sims 3. Base game only. I tried adding other EPs, but it didn't work out. I completely uninstalled everything, and then re-installed The Sims 3, base game only. For now this is the only one I'm going to use.

Now the game works, but there are NO ROOFS!. I pressed ^ all the way, it only shows the supports for the roofs. It was like that the first time I installed as well, no roofs. Now I want to fix this, but I'm not sure how. I read The Sims 3 fix instructions, but the fix states that I need one of the expansion packs in order to fix the game. But I don't want an expansion pack, I just want to work with the base game for now. Is there any way to fix this with out ADDING expansion packs to my game? I searched the entire board for anything to do with missing roofs and I came up with nothing. Can anyone help?

I think you're going to have to add an expansion, to get the crack to work properly so you can be updated all the way, and see if that fixes it. There may be another opinion if you wait for a bit though, if you really want to use that as a last resort.
