What browser are you using?
I do think, that I have read elsewhere that you need a specific browser and a specific program to unpack them.
The browser I use and haven't had problems with as of yet, is firefox and the program to unpack them with is WinRAR
But I don't remember where you can find WinRAR, since I do believe that they get it elsewhere from than me.
So sorry about that

They are already decrapified and ready to be put into your game tho, so don't need to do that step with anything from our MediaFire account.

Re: Sims 3 Requires Software Update.[SOLVED]
When you say "download" are you meaning when you click the link via your web browser (Chrome) to get the data onto your computer, or are you talking about getting them to work properly in the launcher? I'm a bit confused because it seems as if you've already downloaded them based on what you stated about decrapifying them (you can't decrapify something you haven't downloaded) and the verbiage of needing an update (a web browser doesn't care about updates - streams via http don't care what version of what you're running, it's pretty much standardized, either the software [web browser] can parse the data in the stream or it can't - and Chrome can).
I have a feeling it's the launcher giving you this error. Can you confirm this? If it is the launcher, then it's unlikely that whatever you used to extract them is causing the issue also.

Actually, Winzip and other programs have been known to extract the packs strangely, so we recommend using winrar, just to be safe.
Are you able to install anything else, such as objects?
Also, what version is your base game? You can find this out by hovering over the base game icon in your game launcher (it's the one in the very bottom left.) I hope we can find a solution for you quickly.

Re: Sims 3 Requires Software Update.[SOLVED]
Yes it's the launcher giving me problems and i use winrar so that couldn't be it. My version is well it says 000000000 but the game itself is updated so that's weird, and no i cant download anything from the exchange or the media fire account
