Problem with using the crack files

Hey guys!
So I followed the must-read instructions ( https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly) for installing The sims 3 Showtime. I've generations and a couple of other expansions installed already. On step 4 in the installation guide, I'm supposed to replace the files in the base game (which I bought legal) with the Showtime crack files. The problem is I don't have any game\bin folder in the base game map! The only two folders are GameData and Support, and there is no game folder in any of them. Where am I supposed to put the crack files then?

Or how did you buy the Base game? CD\DVD, Origin, or Steam?

In C:\Programs Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3, there is no "game" folder, only the two folders "support" and "gamedata". There is no "game" folder in any of them either.

You were able to play it prior right? Did you maybe do a custom install or something?

You have a desktop shortcut for The Sims 3? Right-click on that, and properties, and looking at the Target Location, where does it say it's target is? Since that should be where you are to place the cracks.

I installed it just like the other ones.
I just have a shortcut in the toolbar from which I cant see the target location, and when I searched for it it said that it was in the late night game\bin folder. I tried to put the new racks there aswell but it won't work.

Not sure, I would guess you probably need to re-install your base game, since you need the files back it does provide.

And you didn't install the game via Origin?
You're missing pretty much everything from that folder.

If you didn't install the base game via Origin and can actually confirm that your PC recognizes the base game as installed - See "Computer" > "Add or remove a program" - then please re-do these steps to fix that folder: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly
DO NOT skip any steps and re-download the manual patch and the Ultimate Fix.

Please let us know the result afterwards. (And please check that folder again after applying the manual patch)

The PC recognises the game as istalled, but says it was installed just a few weeks ago (I think it's the same day as I downloaded and installed) CAW...

I don't think I installed it via Origin, but I'm not sure.

Please check whether this folder exists on your PC: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin

I can't find that particular folder, but the base game is registrated in the game library of my Origin

Then you probably bought it via Origin (and therefore have it on your game list), but installed it via a torrent download?

So I just think your base game installation is corrupt. Did you download it via Games4theworld or an other source?
