the greenhouse. [SOLVED]

not sure if this is right forum and not to sound like a utter noob.... But... how the hell do you build your own greenhouse???
Every time i try i build it put the right windows in and a glass door, (not sure what door to use so just a glass one i picked) put the glass roof on and then the speed up plant thingie (sorry i forget the damn name!) inside it..
but when i try to plant it says i can't place plants in a building
pls help

Lady ElDi thought me this one.
Go into Edit Town mode and then click on an empty lot and choose "Change Lot Type".


Change it to "Community Lot" and set it to "Visitors" allowed".


Done! You can now place the Greenhouse as follows:

ahhh no what i meant was i wanna build one on my one home plot.. or is that not possible?

I think it's possible, just place the one greenhouse, and check out how they did it tho, would be a quick and easy way.

Or can wait for someone else to say how.

You can use a cheat to place your plants indoors.

Build your greenhouse and put on that greenhouse roof. Plant your plants outside, then go into Buy Mode.
Hit Ctrl + Shift + C and enter "moveobjects on"
Place your plants indoors however you like. Then hit Ctrl + Shift + C again and type in "moveobjects off" and go back to live mode. Your plants will grow indoors and will respond to the gardening station normally.

Hi, I just wanted to add that if you don't want to use cheats (or can't because of a dynasty or other challenge) then you can get around it by deleting a section of wall, planting your seeds, then replacing the wall.
