Installing Seasons. [SOLVED] Empty Installing Seasons. [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Mon 17 Dec 2012, 14:43

Hello, I tried to install Sims 3 Seasons last night and ended up completely confused. I read a lot of posts, and they told me things too differently. To patch, but then that the patch isn't recommended. So I don't know what to do, when installing, it said that the game isn't compatible with my version of Sims 3. So... help me please? I'd really appreciate it someone told me how to install it correctly, since apparently a lot of people is having trouble with seasons.
Thanks Smile

Well it all depends, if your patch is on 1.42...... it should be fine installing
You just have to install the game (pretty easy ^^)
Apply the Ultimate Fix (Download it on this forum ^^)
Follow the instructions in the Ultimate Fix Folder
And Enjoy Playing the Sims 3 Seasons Very Happy

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PATCH 1.42:
You should either update it from the launcher (I don't recommend it)
Or download the manual patch found on EA's The Sims Website or on this forum (Recommended as you can use it infinite times Very Happy)

Is there any problem if I have CC installed? I'm downloading the patch right now, so I'll tell you later how that goes.

You may have problems running Seasons if you have a lot of CC/mods, since you're using a Mac. The only way to find out is by playing the game and seeing if it crashes quickly.

If it does, you'll have to backup/rename your /documents/electronic arts/the sims 3 folder, and slowly reintegrate the CC until you find what it is that is corrupting it. However be advised that CC doesn't even have to be bad, it's just that if you have a lot, the game starts bugging out with Macs, because EA is too greedy to actually work on their emulator.
