Have you tried the ultimate fix?
Also (this is just me, I'm no expert!) I don't use the launcher to start the game. Try this, go to Program Files (x86)/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin and double click the TS3.exe.
If this works you could copy and paste (not cut and paste) the TS3.exe to the desktop to replace the icon that starts the launcher.

Yeah, make sure you apply the Ultimate Fix correctly, and not the #Crack Folders in the expansion downloads, since those cracks are outdated. (Or re-apply the files from the #Crack Folder from Seasons, but recommend the Ultimate Fix.)
