Original files..?

Hello,

I got The Sims 3 Seasons for Christmas today (Yaaaaaay!)
But now.. My question, I don't need the crack anymore, because I got the disk!
Now I tried your fix and I took the uncracked files, but when I put them in and I start my game, the Showtime loading screen pops up... Okay.. Not a big problem.. but Seasons, Supernatural, Diesel and Katy Perry Sweet Treats are gone..
What should I do? Just wait for an update and then just don't crack?

I believe you can download the Ultimate Fix and copy the files in the folder with the long name (starting with "Seasons ...") into your base game's installation directory. Those files aren't cracked, so they -should- be the originals I believe.

That's correct, yes, those are all original files.

But I'd like to ask why use the disc and risk scratching/losing it, if you can also play without the disk?

Well, in that case I will have to wait for the new fix to be released when I patch the game, if I use the disk, I just can play when I patched my game.
When I use the original files from the ultimate fix those 4 packs will be missing from my game even though I installed them already, I guess I'll just wait for a patch and when I patched it manually I can play the game with my disk

The game isn't updated that often and when it is, you can temporary use the discs. Your call though.

Anyhow, for the not showing icons, please do step 2: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly

After that all cracks will be gone and your icons should be lit up. You can now play with the disc.
