Question about the store fix patches on mediafire

Hello, I am a little confused about the store fix patches. I just redownloaded the newest one but I am wondering how I am suppose to apply it because I believe I have both .sims3pack and .package files in my sims 3 folder. Is there some alternate way I am suppose to apply these instead of what's contained in the read-me? I have also had some glitching issues in-game with baby sims looking deformed/ sims singing causing strange sounds and glitching/ the new oven not working and food not showing up in my food stands. The game runs and is playable but some of these glitches are a nuisance. Am I not suppose to have both sims3pack and .package files installed at the same time?

If you have both packages, and sims3packs, you follow both sets of instructions.

Thanks alot, also I have a some files in my mods/overrides folder called KT_Storefix Awesome and KT_Storefix unawesome.package should I not have those files in that folder if I am using the fix off your mediafire account?
