Sims medieval DEP shutdown

Hey, everytime i do a right click on my character portrait or the ground the game crashes to the desktop and gives me the message that DEP shut it down.
i already tried to shut down DEP for only sims medieval, but it wont allow me to.
anyone has the solution for this? its really buggering me off right now.. did the same part of the game a hundred times because i couldnt save in tutorial.

Does not work get info box saying ' this program must run with data execution protected (DEP) enabled. you cannot turn off DEP for this program'
any other ideas?

I have found that fix cannot work for us either, as they already have it set one way in the game for the TSM.exe and you get the message that TSM.exe has to run with DEP on. I am not sure why they decided to code it that way - make the game crash with TSM.exe set the one way it will crash the game.

I don't know if in Patch 2 (released yesterday) fixes that mistake on EA's part as my problem is that the cracked version tells me it is up-to-date, so I have not been able to apply either patches for the game - so it crashes like crazy - and of course they made the game where, as far as I can tell you have to play the tutorial and cannot save in the tutorial

You shouldn't turn of DEP, but turn it ón instead.

Thank you - I will try this. Yes, sorry I stated the DEP problem opposite which it should have been.. but the problem is actually still the same, when you go to the DEP tab and attempt top add TSM.exe cannot be added to the DEP settings, but must run with dep enabled. The 'fix' several people are saying to use - to fix some of the crashing issues is to add DEP to that list. But you cannot add it as it must run with dep on. If dep is really the cause of some of the crashing, and the fix is adding TSM.exe to the dep list its not something that can be changed, according to the protections that EA has put on TSM.exe. I hope I am explaining this correctly

i have found the EA patch and applied it to my game not only did it not crash i also finished a quest and saved the game. this is where i got it from
