Expansion not compatible with base game. [SOLVED]

Hi there guys!
I'm a newbie on this forum. Ans I wouldn't be here if I hadn't encountered a problem.
When I try to start the sims, I get an error popup, that says the expansion is not compatible with the base game. So I tried fxing this updating the game but that failed because it had encountered a problem with the TS3W file in my basegame/game/bin folder.
For some reason I am unable to download the manual update from this forum. It just won't download.
I already uninstalled everything and installed it again and I don't see what I could be doing wrong.
By the way, pardon my English.
If anyone could help me with this issue, it would be great!
