Freeze during Sim Creation

Recently installed Sims 3 and all the EPs (in Chinese and on a different partition than default if that matters). I acquired them all from games4theworld. During creation the program will just freeze (it's stilll responding and mouse cursor still moves around though). Processing power and graphics are fine, my computer can play games that are more taxing. I even later removed some EPs and lowered the graphics settings. Do I have to uninstall/reinstall everything?

I have the same problem. It also happen when I create houses now... But everything else work fine...
