Assistance to downgrade please.[SOLVED] Empty Assistance to downgrade please.[SOLVED]

Post by Guest Sun 27 Jan 2013, 20:24

I think I tracked my crashes to just the latest 70's 80's and 90's addition. I installed the addition to the other PC (just to test the theory) and on the other PC (my son's - Pssst, don't tell him), I had the same crash and his game has no CC nor MODs.

So I need to backtrack both PCs back to seasons, but I can't recall which patch I would need, nor where to find the patch.

But am I correct to assume that I have to not only delete the decades addition, but also the Sims 3 base?

Thanks for any assistance.

I'm having a bit of a problem with the DEP. When I click on certain exe files I get a popup stating that it can not be ran in the select mode? Do I just ignore the file and continue on? So far I'm still in the Base Folde and the launcherw and the ts3w won't add to the list.

EDIT: I just too it upon myself to keep going. Sadly, it didn't work, still crashed to desktop. The crash was quicker than the ones before I altered DEP, but it was worth a shot.

Not sure what to try now.

EDIT 2: I got it working for the most part. It turned out that my Nvidia card was not only set on auto updates & install, but also the "Beta" was checked and it looked like a beta was installed. So I just unchecked the beta and rolled back my driver. At least now it doesn't crash right away and hopefully with the DEP modifications things will iron itself out. At least the longest (so far) has been 2 hours. Which beats the previous crash times 3 sec to 2 min 45 secs.

Thanks for the assistance. I think this is as good as it's going to get without uninstalling/reinstalling.
