Because some pc's are that low-end. If you barely meet the system requirements, you don't want to run extra software.

And a lot of users have mentioned that PowerISO can severely cause BSOD on Windows XP and crash after mounting without error message.

I agree we should leave it here. But what I don't appreciate is the previous discussion in this topic. If you have something to suggest, you can leave a constructive comment in that topic instead of saying something like
"What is the delay ?
You can produce an iso of the Original CD within 5 minutes
I have the 100% free of viruses and 100% working download already on my own (amateur) downloadsite.
Must the Simsforum beat you ? - Looks like it anyway !
So come on Admin, put your money where your mouth is and produce a workable download NOW !"

It's not Admin's responsibility to upload it as soon as it is out. I think somebody misunderstands the differences between "hobby" and "responsbility". Giving downvotes without reasons is unappreciative as well.

This is VERY offtopic! Your Admin closed this topic Yesterday so ... what's the point bringing this up again? So your admin can remove all comments made by people with common sense again? I would strongly suggest you read the post again to find out this discussion had already been talked through by your Admin and Tarac!

Actually you can. I had an AMD Sempron 3400+ 2 Ghz, 1 GB Ram, Nvidia 7600 GS 512 and played the base with 5 EP's and a number of mods, including Nraas SP, on XP. It played reasonably (minimal lag) in most neighbourhoods, if I turned most processes off with gamebooster and used an FPS limiter. I even had all graphics settings on medium. It can be done, but you don't want to run extra software in the background.
Lots of people (on our forum) have XP or Vista and even when it's win 7, most people have a pc or laptop with only a few GB RAM since they are running the game on a pc (or laptop) that's not made for gaming.

It really doesn't matter who prefers what, I'm sure you guys have plenty of users on your forum as we do on ours. We have a loyal fanbase that prefers our way of working. Those that prefer iso will download the game elsewhere. We're not each other's rivals.


But, there's no need for downvotes and snide remarks. If you want to spend money on the game in order to be the first to upload it, that's your choice. That's not the way we work. Why you've (both? the 3 of you?) come here asking about the delay and trying to teach us about iso's is beyond me. Again we are not your rival, how can we be when our forum language is English and yours is not?
