The Sims 2: "Failed to enumerate/find any DirectX9 compatible graphics adapters" - fix.
Hello again,
Did you download and install Games4theworld's "The Sims 2: The Complete Collection", but end up with an error that looks like this here, when trying to run the game ?
First, make sure that you copied the Sims2EP9.exe, located in the #Crack-folder of "Mansion and Garden Stuff" (in the download !), to the correct location. By default that will be C:\Program files (x86)\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff\TSBin. Of course, you need to replace the existing files when prompted. The screenshot here shows the correct location of where that file needs to be inserted.
If you are still getting the error after doing that, please re-download that particular file, from this site here. Then make sure that you either turn off your anti-virus program(s) temporarily, or add both your download folder-location as well as the Sims 2 installation folder-location (shown above), to the "exclusions" in your anti-virus software.
After that, please re-add that freshly-downloaded crack-file, to the location shown in the screenshot above, replacing the existing file when prompted.
Good luck !
P.S. if you want to apply the procedure to the Sims 2 "Ultimate Collection" from Origin, please make sure to follow this guide here.
