Need help getting Sims 3 to run properly.

I've installed the complete Sims 3 collection from Mr.DJ using wine on my macbook. I've done everything including the ultimate fix, in order to make sure it runs properly and the game opens and loads fine. The problem comes in when I load it to open a world. It starts out fine, but then as it reaches the very end, it gets stuck loading there. I've had it loading for long time on end to no avail. Any help with the issue would be appreciated as I know y'all don't do Mac Support.
*update: I've gotten it to run properly, loads well and plays fantastic. There is a pause in gameplay or lag occasionally, and I'm fine with it, but it would be great if anyone can help with it. Also, there isn't a mods folder so I can't add mods, how do I re-add the folder?
