I think it's a good idea.
I have gotten kind of used to the orange and grey though. It's relaxing on the eyes and it's actually very responsible since your monitor doesn't use as much power displaying a dark coloured website as it does when it's displaying a bright colour.

The theme of SimFans.de is also very relaxing but colourful!

I'd also suggest to open a topic where you can post stuff about Sims 3 without problems with downloads or such. Just like 'Show your prettiest sim' and such.
