The sims 3 seasons crashing

So today, I tried to play seasons for the first time since i downloaded it when you guys placed it on your site. I mean I played it about three times after originally downloading it. But I think I remember why I don't play the sims anymore- It is extremely slow(i have about 6 out of all expansions downloaded). It is slow when loading and after you choose a family and hit play even that loading screen is slow(the one with the helpful hints). So the music started playing and the hints were popping up and then the music started to sort of skip and then it stopped. So I waited and waited about 10 minutes and then boom nothing, the sims 3 stopped working(the usual pop up that states when the sims 3 has stoppped working did not appear). So i left the game alone and went back to playing runescape. Could someone please tell me how to fix this? Is it too much for my insprion laptop? Or do I have too many expansions installed?I mean maybe not , i have late night, generations, one stuff pack, supernatural and seasons. So??? Is it operator error? Thanks in advance!
