game in different region and not updating

i have windows 7
i have installed these before on my old computer and worked just fine, but have a new computer and having problems
the base game installs just fine but when WA after typing regret there is no sims in the software folder, when asked to update, it cannot update due to different region,
i skip and go to high end, and that game will not update either and cancels install, any help??

Follow these instructions, going 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and making sure that everything is a fresh download. That way your game is updated fully when you try to install your expansions, and the second patch makes sure all of your game files are good together, and can potentially stop some errors.
