The Sims: Medieval
I downloaded the torrent of The Sims: Medieval on Sunday.
I followed the installation guide and went through the installation process using one of the registration keys given. The Welcome screen came up, asked if I wanted to run updates. At this point I said no, and proceeded to try and open the game. The desktop went black for a couple of minutes, and then an error message appeared, saying that the game had stopped responding and that it needed to be closed. I opened the launcher again, and ran through the updates... afterward, the launcher failed to load.
I went online and downloaded the ultimate fix. I followed the instructions by uninstalling the game, reinstalling it, replacing the dll and exe files, etc. I ran through the updates, repeated the replacing of files process, and still nothing - launcher fails to load. I've rebooted my computer several times, and still nothing.
Is there anything else that I can try aside from this 'ultimate fix'? As it really isn't fixing much in my case.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you so much,

Please try this: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t857-the-sims-3-crashes-to-desktop-fix
But change the directory to the folder where your Medieval game is installed. (Don't forget the "\Game\Bin\TSM.exe'")

Re: The Sims: Medieval
Thanks for your reply, but I've also tried that fix. Just like several others have said, I was unable to change the DEP settings and add the appropriate Sims file to the list.
Got anything else?

Re: The Sims: Medieval
Hello,
Hmmm... maybe it's a Blue Screen of Death, which I don't know much about.
I recommend you contact EA and see what they have to say about this problem.
