The Sims Medieval problem. [SOLVED]

Hello all.
I downloaded The Sims Medieval and everything worked with the install just fine (thanks for the step-by-step! Very helpful and idiot proof!). However, when I clicked on "start playing" a little box came up saying "Unable to start game. Device 0 cannot run this title. Your video card does not appear to support at least Shader Model 2. Please upgrade your card." As I am not very computer savvy, I have no idea what this means. Can anyone help? Or at least point me in the direction I need to go? Thanks so much!

Nope. Couple of problems, actually. RAM and Video Card. Thanks for the info. My computer is too ancient.

If the error says that your Graphic Card doesn't support something, I'm afraid you can't run the game, sorry.
