Do I need Ultimate Fix?

Hi guys.
First off, I believe in the saying "Don't fix what isn't broken" but I just want to understand.

About the Ultimate Fix.
The first time I got my game here the latest version was still 1.42. I've used the Ultimate Fix and it was amazing! I only have Master Suit Stuff so the fix wasn't at all confusing.

Since then, I've never updated my game. I've installed Seasons and didn't update Ultimate Fix and no Patch Update too. And it works fine.

Yesterday I've installed University Life. It automatically updated my game from 1.42 to 1.50. I copied the files in the #Crack folder that came along with it, replace the ones in C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and it installed perfectly. I played for hours and didn't have any problems.

Now I've downloaded the latest fix and was wondering if I have to even use it since my game is already okay?

Also, I don't get this bit in https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly
"You may skip all the "# Crack" folders. You DO NOT need to use any "# Crack" folders!"

I would download it just to be safe, personally.

Right now, your game is fine without it.

The skipping crack folders is for when installing a bunch of expansions all at once.

Oh yes. There's just one thing I need fixing.

I currently can't make my sims play the guitar since University. They'll pick it up and then put it back down right after. I tried putting it in their inventory but still no luck.

Maybe it's time to use the Ultimate Fix?

Check your mods first. Any skill mods need to be removed and updated.

Skill mods? I don't think I have that. The only mod I'm using now is the nointro mod which I only downloaded today.

Hmmmm... Is it just the guitar?

yes. that's the only thing i can't use. everything else seems fine.

hey i can use the guitar now. i don't know what fixed it cause i installed pets, installed some store updates and also used the store fix. maybe the fix did the magic. im not sure.
