dosn't load Neighborhoods and saves after reinstalling

i had to format my pc and reinstall win 7.
had saved all my games, saves and downloads .
after reinstalling the sims 3 and all expansions i copied back the downloads and saves to their folders in my doc./ea , after opened the game i had in it only part of the Neighborhoods and other saves.
when 'standing' on Neighborhoods which are fade/gray, it says :"cannot load this save game. it may have been saved with expansion pack data that is no longer present on this system ".
tried to install downloads (which contain those Neighborhoods etc.) using launcher.
it put them into 'installed content' in the launcher , but when i open the game they isn't there.
when i go back to launcher it disappear from 'installed content'.
read in some place that i should put the downloads right after installing base game and not after expansions.
removed all expan. and then put downloads, didn't helped.
please help, we spend a lot of time to build our game content and now we actually can't play the game .

edit:
removed everything and reinstalled game and all expansions. installing went well.
after that copied all my saves and downloads to their folders.
the game starts o.k but i still have the same problem specified above.

it's alright, i read your massage and prepared myself to wait.
unfortunately this problem of us is still exist.
i read on the web that other people have/had the same issue.
actually i don't know how it happened. before installing new windows ( the same win 7 we had before ) the game had all it's content and saves, which i brought back after reinstalling game and all expansions ,which i had also before.

Did you only back up your saves and stuff like that, or did you back up the whole "Electronic Arts\The Sims 3" folder in Documents?

only saves and downloads folders.

I think the saves have links in them to files in other folder of the "The Sims 3" folder, which you have removed, leaving corrupt links.

What if you start a new game, will everything work fine?

it may be.
i didn't tried a totally new game but when i get in to words that do saved it works fine.

no, nothing were created after that.
i'm talking about words/Neighborhoods that we created before.
part of them are operative and other are fade/gray with the massage i wrote above.

i found yesterday this but didn't want to do anything till i here from you.
what do you think of it? sound a bit complicated.( the last post on the page).

I read it, sounds worth trying. Just be sure to keep a backup of all the game files!

i realized now that i can't actually try it because the 'grayed' worlds doesn't exist in new games list in the main menu.
as i wrote above, after i install those unusable worlds, using the launcher, they appear in 'installed content' tab, but when i start the game they doesn't exist there, and also when i go back to launcher , they disappear from the 'installed content' .
i tried to do it again after i removed temporary the saves folder to see if it because some contradiction with it, but it didn't help.

edit:
removed and backup-ed my downloads folder content.
downloaded from mediafire, just for example 'aurora skies', put it to an new empty downloads folder in my doc/ea/ts3, and installed again using launcher, ,
i got the same problem.

it may be that one/some of the saves files are corrupted or something, but how can i find which is it, i don't know.
tjhe strange thing is that it all works fine with the same saves, before i had to reinstall the game and expan.

Found solution!
at list part of, but the major one.
Administrator’s question if I saved the whole EA folder rang me a bell and I remembered that I did it in an external HD , 4 month ago.
This was the best thing i have done in this aspect, since I realize now, after trying almost everything, that otherwise I would probably never bring
back our worlds and other saves.

The sims 3 folder in my doc/EA, Containing (in the aspect of backup) not only the saves folder, but also folders like ‘installed words’, ‘saved sims’ and other backup files.

backup only the ‘saves’ file is not enough, at list in this case of removing and reinstalling new windows. ( other times in the past it was enough for me since i only reinstalled the game +expan. , but I suppose that the backups in my doc. Were left there).

So I replaced the ‘new’ sims 3 folder in EA with the ‘old’ one and all of my worlds came back.

I suppose that the game saves are updated only to the date I created this folder.
Tried to do some merging between the old and the new saves, but it didn’t work.
The only thing I have done is to add a ‘university’ backup file ( which was only in the new saves) to the old one.

Basically The game is working.
I’ll have to check later with my daughter what is in the game, and what is not.( in the aspect of saves).

The main and important Lesson from this to all of us is: back up, back up, Back up.
the whole EA folder (or at list whole the sims 3 folder , in EA) ,Preferable in an external device .
