Runs great for a few minutes, then freezes everytime, I haven't been able to make it out of character creation, please help.

Have all the expansions and stuff packs, runs fine for a few minutes, then freezes (but never crashes) before I can finish with character creation. I've already put all the .exe files into the DEP exceptions list, as well as put the resolution settings as low as they can go and put the game in windows format while running as administrator. Nothing seems to work.

The only thing I could try on that post is Gamebooster, and I did, it ran a little longer without freezing/lagging. But it still did it, and i still have yet to make it out of create a sim. For the record, once it freezes/lags, thats it, no time waiting will make it work, I just have to close it, or it will crash.

It might be CAS mods, or an improperly installed Supernatural/outdated mods. Sorry, no idea what might cause it otherwise. Does it stop at a precise point? because there's this selector at the beginning of CAS where you can choose your sim to be a supernatural.

Has this always happened, or did it start after changing something?

Try to backup and remove "Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 3" then play and see if it works.

Honestly, I really don't know much about mods... in fact, as far as trouble shooting pc gaming problems, I pretty much suck at it, haha.

But there is this issue. Now this only started happening after I downloaded and installed a torrent called black box, had all the expansions and stuff packs up to "Katy Parry Sweet Treats" and uninstalled it because it started glitching after I tried playing again after a while (Just typical uninstall). Since I uninstalled that torrent, I would always seem to get this startup error..."There was an error during startup. Please see log for more details" Although I do have the base game and World Adventures (bought disks), and I installed them a while ago and the same error message showed...

Fortunately, that hasn't happened again, but the freezing (sometimes crashing) happens around the same time, during sim creation, but it's more like a time thing, not at what point of it I'm at. The last time I did it I ran it with Gamebooster and it ran about 5-10 minutes longer, but still the same end result.
