Sims 3 PC requirements ??

Hello , so ... :newfag: and I'm not sure if this is the right topic , but oh well ..
I've been having problems with my game , since forever. Crashing to desktop every 30 mins, Extreme lagging , Error code 12 ... any annoying thing that can possibly happen to a sims game , has happened to mine

Well , I knew it was a RAM problem . I have all the EPs and SPs only content from the store. only a few mods. I have tried playing with no CC/Mods but no difference. I have 2 GB of RAM. I was planning on upgrading to about 6 GB. But then someone said that as my windows is 32-bit , It wont let me use all of it. So I now have a new 64-bit windows (7 , Ultimate) , with all my games gone. I'm planning on re-installing , but before that I want to get more RAM. Do you think 6 GB of RAM is enough ?
If it matters , I have "ATI radeon HD" 5450 as my video card , and "Pentium (R) Dual-core CPU E5300 @ 2.60 GHz" as my processor. Do you think these plus 6 GB of RAM would run my game in good performance and graphics ?? If not , can you give me suggestions ?? Thanks a LOT
